In order to further our commitment to these legal and ethical standards and establish an environment that promotes legal and ethical behavior with the laws and regulations governing our business operations, we have adopted a Code of Business Ethics and Conduct (the "Code").  The Code applies to Health Care Service Corporation and its subsidiaries including HCSC Insurance Services Company (HISC). Additionally for its government programs HISC has adopted a Compliance Program.  The Code was created to clearly define our values and behavioral expectations.  We place the utmost importance on the observance of the principles of the Code and Program and expect all employees as well as those that we do business with to conduct themselves accordingly.  HCSC Insurance Services Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Health Care Service Corporation.
