What is Medicare Blue Rx?
Medicare Blue Rx is the Medicare-approved prescription drug coverage offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma.

The cost varies depending on the plan you select. Understanding that not everyone has the same needs, Medicare Blue Rx offers you the choice of three plans: Basic, Basic Plus and Enhanced. Below is a brief description of each:
Basic Plan - Basic coverage equal to the federal government's minimum requirements for coverage. Recommended for those who:
- Have low or no prescription drug usage
- Prefer lower copayments for generics in exchange for a deductible
- Monthly Premium: $27.90
Basic Plus Plan - Broad coverage with no deductible. Recommended for those who:
- Have no, low or moderate prescription drug usage
- Prefer a plan with no deductible - coverage from the first prescription filled
- Monthly Premium: $26.60
Enhanced Plan - Extensive coverage with generic prescription drugs covered while in the coverage gap. Recommended for those who:
- Have moderate to heavy prescription drug usage
- Prefer continuous coverage
- Monthly Premium: $60.00

What drugs are covered?
Medicare Blue Rx covers an extensive list of drugs, called a formulary. The formulary includes generic, preferred brand, brand and specialty drugs including more than 2,600 prescription drugs covered by Medicare. Click on one of the links below to find your drugs.

60-Day Formulary Change Notice - The Medicare Blue Rx drug list, also called a formulary, is current as of this publication. The information is updated on a monthly basis. Once enrolled, you can call our Customer Service Department at 1-888-844-3781, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. CST to obtain additional information on any changes to the Medicare Blue Rx Formulary. For the hearing or speech impaired, please call 1-888-844-3792.
If a medication is removed from the list, you will be notified at least 60 days before it is removed from the formulary. We will also update this information, along with any drugs added to the formulary, on our Important News & Updates page.
If the FDA deems a drug on the list is unsafe or the drug's manufacturer removes the drug from the market, we will immediately remove it from our list.

Where can I get my prescriptions filled?
The Medicare Blue Rx retail pharmacy network must be used to receive Medicare Blue Rx benefits. Below are three ways to fill your prescriptions right in your neighborhood:
Network Pharmacies - Just show your Medicare Blue Rx ID card at any one of our network pharmacies, including Wal-Mart and Walgreens among others, to get your prescriptions filled. Use our Pharmacy Locator* to find the network pharmacy closest to you.
Preferred Network Pharmacies - Medicare Blue Rx makes it easy to save even more on your medications when you visit a preferred network pharmacy. When filling a 90-day supply of an eligible prescription drug, pay only two and a half months of copayments instead of three when you visit one of our preferred network pharmacies such as Walgreens, Target, Wal-Mart and many more. Note: Network pharmacies that are not preferred pharmacies do not offer lower copayments for a 90-day supply.
Mail Order Program - In addition to our retail pharmacies, we also offer the convenience of mail order. The mail order option (PDF), and the Fax option (PDF) administered by Walgreens, allows you to have a 90-day supply of eligible prescriptions delivered to your home. Mail order often provides savings because you can get a 90-day supply of eligible prescription drugs for for only two and a half copayments.
As mentioned above, you are not required to use mail order prescription drug services to obtain an extended supply of maintenance medications. Please refer to the Preferred Network Pharmacies section above for a list of those retail pharmacies that have agreed to accept the mail order copayment for an extended supply of medications. Use of the preferred network pharmacies may result in no out-of-pocket payment difference to you.
Medicare Blue Rx has contracts with pharmacies that equal or exceed Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for pharmacy access in your area.
